Tuesday 13th of October – Meeting – Tie up session 4.30 – Writing Applications/ Behaviour Management – Wednesday 21st of October – Auditorium Loddon Mallee Region 1.Challenge – Strategic intent was that we deliberated ·over a period of time, intentionally, ·using a constructivists model to create ·using a collective multi faceted approach ·a simplified model using cards for Leaders, staff and students as a way of immersing critical learning and thinking ·The E5 model and how it could be used as a professional, teaching and student tool in everyday situations. 2.Future - turn these into small cards to be used as a guide for being explicit in our teaching and learning as leaders, staff and students. Reporting to the Principals – discussing what our project was and what we concluded with. Continuing as a learning community – linking with each other – Be proactive! 3.Career Planning - What do you want to know more about? ·Writing applications for leadership roles and showing evidence within the application. ·Find a book about positive language – so that we have a sample of ‘cues’ to help us remind us to get into the positive language rather and planning and the management of it all. ·Individually making decisions of what I want to do – Hook into the We (our group) and associations – and then the They (RNL network) Part of the network planning. ·Leadership Coordinator – Peter Nicholson ·Make sure there is some ‘ in reserve so that you have time for planning. ·If you’re up to date with what’s going on than it’s easier to accommodate changes but if you have the stone agers how do you actually move it? PLANNING so that those that seem as blockers – ·Collective efficacy – if we all work together not matter what we have to contribute and what we have in our own package – then we can be more effective. ·Sustaining this group using the support of the district to increase our opportunities with further studies with a Master degree as a Professional Collective Learning and take professional leave – look at the leadership development website – look for the purple book online?? 4.Et. High level of knowledge information – usually about two or three years ahead internally Experts that know their stuff that also have their support just in case something happens ·Effective schools model – read more an duse this tool ·Workforce planning – get an understanding of how this works ·Interview practise – questions that are asked at interviews: Prin interview, staff interviews, regional interviews. CV writing, expressions of interest. STOP, DO MORE AND INTRODUCE activity ·What does an employer expect of you in school?? Everything fits into the effective schools model. ·Having a very clear vision of what effective teaching and learning looks like in a classroom. – Do a why chart. What is your vision of an effective teaching and learning situation? ·Make sure that you have a cue card style support happening for you that relates to the Leadership framework – 5 areas with the 3 points to each. – So when in an interview use the Leadership model to help you answer the questions given to you before an interview ·Content – It’s hard to talk about a change management model if you can’t hang content on it EG: Use the WHO principle – What did you do, how did you do it, and what was the outcome. ·Always dress appropriately for the position.
